About Us

For 11 years now, BARKS has been helping dog trainers, animal behavior consultants and pet care professionals stay up-to-date with current research, methodologies and thinking for the total benefit of pets and their people.

At BARKS, we believe pets have an intrinsic right to be treated humanely, have each of their individual needs met, and live in safe, enriched environments free from force, pain and fear.

In a world where there is so much information available, we provide a platform for current, accurate and scientifically sound education that both pet professionals and guardians can trust. We believe this forms the foundation for a pet’s healthy socialization and a stable environment.

In this way, we can all help prevent behavior problems, while protecting the overall well-being of each individual animal.
